EPDM - Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer

EPDM Explained

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is a synthetic Sponge Rubber. It is a good all round Elastomer used in many industries. EPDM sponge Rubber has excellent water, ozone and UV light resistance. This sponge is often used in outdoor gasket and seal applications. It also has good acid and alkaline resistance and can be used across a wide temperature range. It is not used where it may come into contact with oil or solvents.

Properties
  • Excellent in Acid and Alkali resistance.
  • Resistance to abrasion, weathering & ozone resistance.
  • Poor oil & solvent resistance.
  • Flexible at a wide range of temperatures.
Uses
  • Weatherproofing.
  • Low cost Seals & Gaskets.
  • Automotive.
  • Vibration Damping.
